Transforming a Local Salon in Bristol with Eco-Friendly Cleaning Services

Front of a salon

Recently, we had the pleasure of cleaning GlamSquad, a lovely local salon in Pucklechurch, Bristol. This job was not only about making the salon look pristine but also ensuring it smelled fresh and welcoming for both staff and clients. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at how we achieved that using eco-friendly products and our meticulous cleaning process.

The Cleaning Process

  • Our first task was to dust off the shelves and surfaces, ensuring that no speck of dust was left behind. With salons, hair and other small debris tend to settle everywhere, so we paid special attention to cleaning chairs and surfaces, ensuring they were free from hair. To make sure every surface gleamed, we used the Method Anti Bac All-Purpose Cleaner —a product that is not only tough on grime but also eco-friendly.

Clean kitchen and salon room

  • Mirrors are an essential part of any salon, and we made sure to spray and wipe them until they were spotless, leaving no smudges or streaks.

  • Next, we disinfected the wash basins, a critical task in maintaining hygiene in a salon environment. The Method Bathroom Cleaner was our go-to here, effectively removing soap, dye and hair, ensuring the basins were sparkling clean.

  • The bathroom and kitchen areas were given a thorough clean as well. For the bathroom, we used GreenBear Toilet Cleaner, which is not only effective but also environmentally friendly. We finished off with a touch of Fresh GreenBear Air Freshener, leaving the space smelling fresh and clean.

  • Bins in salons can understandably become messy from lash strips, foils, hair and other beauty supplies, we ensure that we empty and clean the bins ready for the week ahead!

  • Floors can be tricky, especially in a busy salon. We started by sweeping and hoovering the floors, followed by mopping the floors with the Method Almond Wooden Floor Cleaner, which not only cleaned but also left a lovely scent behind —ensuring the salon floors were spotless.

Tidying and Organising

A tidy waiting area and reception are crucial for making a positive first impression. We made sure to clean and organise these spaces meticulously. We also washed down reachable walls and tiles, removing any marks or smudges, ensuring the salon looked as good as new.

The Challenges and Joys of the Job

One of the biggest challenges in this job was ensuring that no hair or dust was left behind. Hair has a way of finding its way into every nook and cranny, but with a combination of sweeping and hoovering, we were able to tackle this challenge effectively.

What I particularly enjoy about cleaning this salon is the transformation. There’s something incredibly satisfying about walking into a space that needs a little TLC and leaving it looking immaculate. The fresh, clean scent of the Method and GreenBear products we use adds to the experience, making the salon a welcoming place for staff and clients the next day.

Eco-Friendly Products for a Healthier Environment

At Sorry About The Mess, we are committed to using eco-friendly products that are both effective and safe for the environment. The Method range, including their All-Purpose Disinfectant, Bathroom Cleaner, and Almond Wooden Floor Cleaner, along with GreenBear's Toilet Cleaner and Air Freshener, help us achieve the highest standards of cleanliness without compromising on environmental responsibility.

Conclusion

Cleaning this local salon in Pucklechurch, Bristol, was a fulfilling task. Not only did we leave the space looking and smelling amazing, but we also contributed to a healthier environment by using eco-friendly products.
